Mollis Cottingham, M.Ed., MPA, LPC-Resident

Welcome! I am Mollis Cottingham, a dedicated mental health professional with a deep commitment to mental health and wellness. My diverse life experiences have equipped me with a broad understanding of various perspectives and challenges, enabling me to connect meaningfully with my clients. In my practice, I prioritize listening and maintaining a nonjudgmental stance. I believe that a genuine understanding of your unique experiences is essential for effective therapy, and I strive to create a safe, empathetic space where you can explore and grow.

I utilize a range of therapeutic approaches, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is designed to help you identify and achieve your goals by focusing on solutions and strengths, while CBT addresses unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, fostering positive change and resilience.

My holistic approach integrates a variety of therapies to offer a personalized, effective path toward mental well-being. Together, we’ll work to uncover your strengths, address challenges, and move towards a more balanced and fulfilling life. I’m here to support you every step of the way with compassion and insight.
As a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia I am under the supervision of Brooke Buck, LPC.
